PRAISE
We have been blessed to be a part of Christ’s birthing experience this month, as we were privileged to be a part of the youth meeting at Grace Memorial Baptist Church in Tupelo, MS. The Holy Spirit moved in and out among four hundred youth of all ages. He drew hearts that needed saving and HE showed Himself sufficient in the Call of God for their lives in ministry. Hearts were brought to the cross-roads. ARE YOU HOME, OR ARE YOU GONE? The far country had gotten into the HEAD, the HEART, AND the HANDS of the prodigal son while he was at home long before he was gone, “Are you Home or are you Gone?” Be aware, the far country will get in you from your living room, from your bedroom, from your car, from your school or work place. Yes, and sadly, even from the church pew. The disobedience and ungratefulness of a heart that feels entitled to more, will find itself looking off into the far country long before it gets into the far country. Thankfully, many have made the choice to stay HOME where the Father gives FREEDOM, where there is FAVOR where there is FULLNESS, where there is FELLOWSHIP. All that the prodigal searched for in the far country, he realized was at home to start with. He just didn’t see it until the light came on in His heart. Enlightened, he saw things differently. The evidence could be seen in his TELLING and in his WALKING. The LIGHT had come on in his HEAD and in his HEART and had BEEN ON THE WHOLE TIME AT THE HOUSE. For the first time when he looked homeward, he saw-the-light. In some ways, in salvation, we all saw-the-light of home from the far country. A thankful heart is in order when we think about the drawing hand of the Holy Spirit that pointed us toward Home where the loving Father always waits and always has the LIGHT ON.
